You’re joking, but there was a space program called Corona.
That was the name used internally by the US for the development of their first spy satellite. The ‘cover name’ used by the public was *Discoverer*, they told the public it was for biology tests in space — they didn’t do classified launches yet, so would make up some fake story for the public each time.
It was actually a really interesting system from an engineering standpoint — it used a film camera, and would drop the film canisters from space for recovery. The program was operational about 3 years. Quite an odd bit of history:
